Merchandising & Planning Manager
Overview
The Merchandising & Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing product assortment, inventory planning, pricing strategy, and sales forecasting across all YVIS sales channels — retail stores, e-commerce, and marketplace platforms.This role ensures the right products are available in the right quantity, at the right time, to meet sales goals and optimize profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assortment & Merchandising Planning
• Develop seasonal assortment plans aligned with brand strategy and sales goals.
• Collaborate with the Creative and Sourcing teams to define product mix, pricing tiers, and target quantities for each collection.
• Analyze product lifecycle — from new launches to end-of-season clearance — to optimize sell-through and minimize overstock.
• Identify hero products and bestsellers to guide replenishment and restock planning.
• Propose pricing, bundling, and promotional strategies based on margin targets and market competitiveness.
2. Inventory & Sales Forecasting
• Create and manage demand forecasts based on sales history, trends, and marketing calendars.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment or markdown strategies.
• Work closely with the Inventory & QC Manager to ensure accurate stock reporting and SKU management.
• Coordinate with business development and retail teams to balance inventory allocation across channels.
• Track product performance by category and collection to inform future design and production decisions.
3. Cross-Department Collaboration
• Partner with the Sourcing & Production team to align purchasing quantities and production timelines.
• Work with the Marketing team to align campaign planning with product availability and launch windows.
• Communicate with retail store teams to understand on-ground sales trends and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with CEO to set targets, manage budgets, and report on profitability.
4. Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and inventory performance reports.
• Analyze key metrics (GMV, sell-through rate, turnover days, and gross margin) to drive data-informed decisions.
• Present findings and actionable recommendations to management to support growth and efficiency.
• Identify underperforming products and suggest improvement or exit strategies.
5. Strategic Planning & Growth
• Lead long-term product and sales planning to support business expansion.
• Evaluate new product opportunities based on trend and performance data.
• Contribute insights to future product development, pricing, and store assortment strategies.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
