Overview

The Art Director plays a key role in managing photoshoots, directing creative production, and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, on-brand visuals. This position requires a strong eye for aesthetics, trend awareness, leadership skills, and hands-on experience with content creation and art direction in the fashion or lifestyle industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Campaign & Content Creation

Conceptualize and direct photoshoots and video shoots for brand campaigns and new collections.

Create mood boards, storyboards, and creative direction in collaboration with the Creative and Marketing teams.

Present visual concepts, art direction proposals, and storyboards to management for feedback and approval.

Create product names and participate in storytelling ideation for new collections.

Responsible for new launch feed direction — ensuring campaign visuals and content are cohesive, impactful, and aligned with YVIS’s brand tone.

2. Photoshoot Management

Lead and manage all aspects of the photoshoot process, including coordination with photographers, stylists, models, and studios.

Oversee contract and usage rights for photos, models, and collaborators to ensure proper legal and brand usage.

Handle pre-production tasks such as preparing clothing, accessories, props, and styling kits.

Provide clear on-set art direction and ensure smooth execution during shoots to achieve desired visual outcomes.

3. Trend & Visual Research

Stay updated on global design trends, fashion movements, visual storytelling, and social media aesthetics.

Translate research insights into mood boards and creative briefs for upcoming campaigns, collections, and launches.

4. Photoshoot Budget & External Performance Reporting

Plan, allocate, and manage the full budget for all photoshoots and visual productions.

Ensure cost-effective resource usage while maintaining premium visual quality.

Evaluate and report the performance of external collaborators (photographers, stylists, editors) based on quality, reliability, and outcome.

5. New Product Launch Planning

Collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to define visual direction and campaign rollout for new product launches.

Develop cohesive launch concepts, campaign visuals, and merchandising presentations aligned with the product story.

Ensure all assets are delivered on time, meet high-quality standards (including retouching), and are visually optimized for each platform.

Review and approve all final creative assets to maintain consistency, impact, and alignment with the YVIS brand.
